The Kids
I actually sat down to write this post almost a month ago. I said I
can't believe Owen is four months old. Scratch that. Now I can't
believe he is almost five moths old! Time flies when you're changing
diapers, sitting in story time and trying to reason with a two year old
(and losing)! I never realized how time consuming taking care of two
kids would be. Laundry seems to have quadrupled, my patience has been
cut in half, sleep seems to be a thing of the past and it's funny how Aubrey only has to go potty the minute I
sit down to feed Owen. Even with the craziness, I love being a parent of two. It seems bizarre when someone asks me about my "kids" or when I say I have to go somewhere with the "kids". Those "kids" are doing quite well by the way. Owen is trying his best to roll over. He can roll from his tummy to his back (with very minimal help), but gets a little stuck when he tries to go the other way. I'm sure it will be any day and we'll find him rolling across the living room with Aubrey shouting, "Yeah Owen! He did it all by himself!" he is such a happy baby and you can't help but smile every time you look at him.
Aubrey's birthday is approaching quickly and the list of things she'll be able to do when she tuns three seems to be getting longer by the day. According to her, when she is three she'll be able to go to school (true), and drive the van (not so true). Owen couldn't ask for a better big sister. Aubrey is his biggest cheerleader and spurs him on towards new goals. In fact, during a particularly frustrating day last week Owen decided not to take one of his naps and thought it would be more fun to scream loud enough to wake the dead. I let out one of my what now seems to be my trademark sighs and Aubrey said, "Well, mommy he's JUST a baby!" How can I argue with that?

Kenia You have two beautiful children and I got to hold Owen when your mother had them for the weekend and he just squealed and laughed. I truly enjoyed seein them both and will miss not getting to see them but want to keep up with them through your web page. Don't let Aubrey run away!!!! I sure miss your mother.
